Electronics Course: The Operational Amplifier. This course will thoroughly enhance your understanding of the Operational Amplifier (Op-amp) which is one of the main components in advanced level physics. In this course, we examine in detail one of the twenty-six important topics in the advanced physics chapter. This course will help you move easily from basic electrical concepts to circuits involving operational amplifiers. The prerequisite of this course is familiarity with the basic concepts of electrical circuits such as Ohm’s and Kerchev’s laws, which are usually taught at the preparatory level (AS). Each part of this course is dedicated to a specific concept and designed in such a way that the concepts are continuously built on top of each other; Therefore, it is recommended that you view all sections in order. From the very beginning of the course, we examine the important concepts required in the advanced physics chapter. So if you’ve read about operational amplifiers before, you’ll quickly recognize these concepts. This course includes 26 educational videos and takes about two hours to complete. The length of each video is adjusted in such a way that it is not boring for you due to the amount of other content in the lesson heading. First we will review the input and output devices and then we will discuss the properties of an ideal operational amplifier. In the following, we will discuss the circuits that use two power sources and we will examine the reason for using two power sources. Then we will look at circuits that include input and output devices. At this point you will be ready to study the operational amplifier as a comparator. Finally, we will consider inverting and non-inverting amplifiers. At the end of the course, we will review a comprehensive question that covers most of the concepts required in the advanced physics chapter.
